Carolina Family Services is Hiring a Mental Health Counselor (Contractor) Near Greenville, SC

Due to the overwhelming demand for children's mental health and the expansion of our practice, we have immediate openings for Licensed Mental Health Counselors.

Carolina Family Services (CFS) is a multi-disciplinary practice with physical offices in Greenville, Spartanburg, and Williamston, SC. Our organization is CARF accredited and highly recognized for our commitment to providing a wide array of quality services to effectively meet the needs of children and families in our community. These services include evidence based individual and family counseling, school based and outpatient therapy, physician services (medication management), intensive in home rehabilitative services, and our community outreach/engagement programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for completing comprehensive diagnostic assessments, developing treatment plans, and therapy for children/adolescents, adults, and families referred to our agency
  • Provide individual, family, & group psychotherapy implementing goal specific & measurable treatment plans
  • Communicate with colleagues, Primary Care providers, & other providers as needed to facilitate integrative care
  • Document any and all clinical services, communication, discharges, and other client-related contacts in the Medical Record in accordance to the company's policy
  • Conduct utilization review to obtain authorizations for client services by third party vendors/payers
  • Participate in treatment team meetings on a regular basis
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid LPC, LPC-A, LISW-CP, LMSW, LMFT-A, or LMFT license in South Carolina or is eligible to become licensed in South Carolina
  • Education - Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or Related Field
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with children, adolescents, and families
  • Availability to see patients and families in the evenings at least 2 days a week
  • Willing to work with children and adolescents (ages 5 years and up)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified or specialized in EMDR, PCIT, Play Therapy, TF-CBT, DBT, Family Systems, Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and/or drug/alcohol abuse (preferred, but not required)
  • Spanish Fluency preferred but not required
  • Willingness to see patients with a developmental diagnosis (ASD)
